Repair, recalibrate, or upgrade your existing hydraulic test equipment

IMG_1845

With in-house facilities in both the UK headquarters and US Sales office to repair 80% of all Webtec products on site. We can also calibrate for flow rates up to 800 lpm (200 US gpm) and return your unit back to you certified with either a Certificate of Conformity or certificates of flow and pressure calibration.

All repairs start with a rigorous investigation to identify the origin of the fault, once identified the customer is contacted and provided with the estimate for repair, all Webtec repairs are warranted for 3 months with repairs typically turned around in less than two weeks.

Should the equipment be beyond economical repair and it is considered repairing the fault could lead to other issues, Webtec will recommend trade-in or upgrade option.

Webtec recommends that its flow meters and hydraulic testers are recalibrated after every 4000 hours of usage or 12 months, whichever is sooner. The operating environment of the equipment will also have a big influence on the service schedule so if you are unsure of the most appropriate service schedule then please speak to one of our engineers who will be able to help you.

Webtec celebrates 50 years of Innovation

_DSC3348

In marking this important point in Webtec’s history the company invited all of its employees and families, including those based overseas to a ride on the historic Tornado steam train en route to a Garden party at Holmewood Hall, near Peterborough where they enjoyed a wide range of fun and competitive activities, a BBQ and live music.

Martin Cuthbert, Managing Director of Webtec and son of the founder Roy Cuthbert said, “Today is really a ‘Golden’ landmark for Webtec as we celebrate 50 years since the company was founded, thanks especially to our loyal customers around the world and our dedicated and long-serving employees who have made this possible”.

Mr Cuthbert continued, “My father, Roy Cuthbert, passionately believed in British engineering and the importance of manufacturing in Britain and since the 60’s we have invested heavily in the development of a greatly diversified product portfolio, the latest in “lean” manufacturing technology and a total dedication to quality and customer support. We now have the ability to bring quality products to market very quickly allowing us to service all of our customers around the world in a greatly reduced timeframe.”

Based in St, Ives, Cambridgeshire, the recently refurbished factory which was has been Webtec’s headquarters since 1998 houses all of its engineering, manufacturing, assembly, test and sales support functions for customers world-wide, in conjunction with sales offices in the USA, France, Germany and China.

Webtec to enter harsh environment markets

Webtec will soon be showcasing an exciting extension to their range of precision hydraulic directional control valves to specifically meet the needs of the harsh environment markets.

The first new product range, based on the well established 180 series, will address the needs of many companies operating in environments where anti-corrosion, reliability and excellent delivery performance are often vital.

This market has many different requirements in terms of material, finish, certification, traceability and availability. Webtec will meet these needs by offering a range of products as standard off the shelf items with the usual multiple porting configurations through to fully ATEX certified products with full component level traceability if required.

Reduce your diesel consumption for driving hydraulic circuits by up to 50%

vfd190

Hydraulic engineers in need of an in-line flow control valve to regulate motor or cylinder speed on construction and agricultural machinery applications need look no further than Webtec’s new high-pressure VFD190 Series.

The new VFD range has both a 66% higher operating pressure and maximum inlet flow capability than the existing Webtec 2FV series, but due to its larger one-inch port size and highly optimised mechanical design has a substantially reduced pressure drop, meaning heat generation can be cut in half resulting in significantly lower fuel consumption.

Aimed at applications such as controlling the speed of operation of hydraulic hammers, crushers, screeners, spreaders and conveyors this three-port variable priority flow divider is nearly immune to rapid changes in load, with adaptive pressure compensation enabling both the regulated and by-pass flows to be used to drive separate circuits.

The VFD190 has a single turn knob to smoothly control the flow even under full pressure and is rated up to 190 lpm (50 gpm) inlet flow, at pressures up to 420 bar (6000 psi) and comes in 5 sizes with both BSPP and SAE ports available.
