vfd190Hydraulic engineers in need of an in-line flow control valve to regulate motor or cylinder speed on construction and agricultural machinery applications need look no further than Webtec’s new high-pressure VFD190 series, launching at Hillhead 2014, which brings Webtec’s range of hydraulic flow control valves to over 800 models and counting.

The new range has both a 66% higher operating pressure and maximum inlet flow capability than the existing Webtec 2FV series, but due to its larger one-inch port size and highly optimised mechanical design has a substantially reduced pressure drop, meaning heat generation can be cut in half resulting in significantly lower fuel consumption.

Aimed at applications such as controlling the speed of operation of hydraulic hammers, crushers, screeners, spreaders and conveyors this three-port variable priority flow divider is nearly immune to rapid changes in load, with adaptive pressure compensation enabling both the regulated and by-pass flows to be used to drive separate circuits.

The VFD190 has a single turn knob to smoothly control the flow even under full pressure and is rated up to 190 lpm (50 gpm) inlet flow, at pressures up to 420 bar (6000 psi) and comes in 5 sizes with both BSPP and SAE ports available -

Job description

Your role is to help develop an end-to-end marketing communications plan for Webtec aligned with our marketing strategy that will engage with our customer base worldwide seeking opportunities where Webtec’s product range can deliver most value for customers. As a result help to grow the quantity of qualified leads for Sales using the most effective methods and processes that will support the achievement of our annual revenue targets and play a key role in the future growth of the company.

This will include the implementation and/or management of event scheduling, CRM segmentation strategy, behaviour profiling, marketing automation and lead scoring, content marketing, inbound marketing (PPC & SEO), website content management, analytics and reporting, and the use of our news site and social media.

You will work with the Managing Director and Graphics Manager to execute the planned activity in an effective and efficient manner utilising all available communications channels. You will be responsible for scheduling the Marketing Communications plan, creating the marketing event briefs, writing the English copy and then liaising with the Graphics team to manage the translation, graphic design and company-wide implementation. You will be monitoring the effectiveness of each activity and use the results to improve future campaigns.

Essential skills & experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Communication or equivalent
  • Native English speaker
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in the field of marketing communications and ability to demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of communications activities – digital media, publications, events, PR etc.
  • Experience of managing and leading a multi-disciplinary marketing team
  • Experience of Marketing in a niche B2B sector with clear understanding of segmentation & targeting
  • Proven and demonstrable experience of English copy-writing, editing and producing publications.
  • Experience working with websites, producing content for the web, and inbound marketing, lead generation (PPC / SEO)
  • Excellent Analytical skills and experience of measuring Marketing ROI and seeking constant improvement
  • Proven experience working with social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Experience of content management & Marketing Automation
  • Personable and intelligent with strong “can do” work ethic.
  • Outstanding communications skills both internally & externally. Confident to represent Webtec externally including public speaking as necessary
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and CRM systems
  • Organised and methodical – ability to prioritise you own tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

UK Telesales / Sales Coordinator

As a member of the UK Sales team, the UK Telesales / Sales Coordinator role will provide a key support function to prospects and customers within a highly transactional segment of the customer database. This position will be responsible for all aspects of sales administration, supported by the technical sales engineers.

 

Main Responsibilities

Handling of enquiries made via phone, fax and email – involving technical sales staff where appropriate.

Qualify, enter or update customer information, and document call information using CRM call logs.

Carry out simultaneous telesales and data entry, providing customers with product and service information.

Acquire sufficient technical product knowledge to enable preparation of basic quotations, contract review and approval, as well as new order processing.

Progressing open customer quotes limited by stage or £ value and sending of order acknowledgements.

Make sales calls to qualify prospects and add additional contacts to the CRM system.

Proactively follow up leads generated from targeted marketing activity.

Data entry of unqualified suspects and trade show sales leads for new customer development and continuous cleansing of the UK Sales customer database.

To participate in any project or carry out specific tasks as may be assigned by the UK Sales Manager from time to time.

 

Skills

You will be a quick learner, IT literate with experience of tele-sales and using a CRM system. Experience of working in a B2B industrial market would be advantageous. We would expect candidates to have a high level of internal and external communication skills, to be organised and methodical, demonstrate good attention to detail, and a willingness to cross function in periods of absence.

 

Working hours & benefits

Ideally full-time (39 hours / wk), though part time (~30 hours / week) may be possible – based in our HO and Manufacturing site in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

How to produce a professional hydraulic pump or valve test certificate, at the touch of a button

The C2000 is a third generation solution for displaying, logging and reporting hydraulic test information and providing professional test certificates. Aimed specifically at industrial test stands, the C2000’s rugged design and simple user interface is ideal for customers testing new or re-built hydraulic pumps and valves and is quick to produce a professional hydraulic test certificate at the touch of a button.

Earlier in the year, Webtec saw the result of an engineering department led project to install the latest version of our in-house designed C2000 hydraulic data acquisition solution on Webtec’s three UK flow calibration test stands and one test stand in the US. This upgrade allows us to quickly calibrate hundreds of different flow measurement products to exactly the same standard, re-call past test results from anywhere in the world and strengthens Webtec’s commitment to providing world-class service to customers worldwide.

Version 20 of the C2000 software is due to be released in June 2014.
